Red Chin Problem

E-mail Print PDF

Dave asked:

I have a very red chin and everytime I have used any foundation to cover it up, it comes out very dry and visable that I'm wearing it. any help would be appreciated

Angela says:

Are you using moisturiser? Foundation will highlight any flaky areas of skin so a good moisturiser will help to combat your dry skin condition and give a more even appearance to your foundation. You say that your skin is red, this leads me to think that there is some sensitivity in the area. I would recommend Dermalogica’s Barrier Repair to counteract the dryness and avoid any further irritation.

An application of Supersensitive Face block during the day will further help to protect the area and reduce dryness and sensitivity. Avoid using soap on the skin, replace with pH balanced mild facial wash for sensitive skin.

Gently massaging the area with a washcloth will help to loosen off any dead skin cells before you apply your moisturiser. Hope this helps you to enjoy using your foundation.

Note from editor: Dermalogica is widely available but you can buy it from Angela's website at www.angelabartlett.co.uk
